(L.A.) Andrew Valdez, 19, Died on the 405 Freeway

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 19-year-old Latino male that occurred on on 405 Freeway in North Hills.

The coroner’s office identified the young man as Andrew Valdez.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Blunt-Force Traumatic Injuries

RIP ANDREW VALDEZ (October 28, 2005 – April 20, 2025)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Sunday at 2:19 a.m.

The decedent was fatally injuired in a multi-vehicle crash that happened at around 2:00 a.m. on the southbound San Diego (405) Freeway by the Nordhoff Street off-ramp.

California Highway Patrol said the collision involved a red van and white sedan.
