(L.A.) Andrew Shapiro, 27, Ended His Life

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 27-year-old White/Caucasian male that occurred in a vehicle.
The coroner’s office has identified the man as Andrew Shapiro.
Manner of Death: Suicide
Cause of Death A: Asphyxia
Cause of Death B: Suffocation

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Sunday at 10:30 p.m.
Andrew’s parents are good friends of mine, and hearing this news is positively devastating. I don’t have kids but even if I did, I’m certain that I’d still not fully grasp the pain sense of loss they must be feeling right now. My heart breaks for, and most certainly goes out to, my friends and their entire family. And may Andrew rest in peace.
