Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 33-year-old Caucasian male that occurred at a private residence.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Andrew Morningstar.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Combined Effects of Methamphetamine and Gamma-Hydroxybutyrate

Other Significant Conditions: Medical History of Depression and Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Monday at 6:15 p.m.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.

GHB (gamma-hydroxybutyrate) is an illegal drug that acts as a nervous system depressant.
