Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 28-year-old Latino male that occurred on the Santa Monica Freeway.
The coroner’s office identified the man as Andrew Fierro.

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Sunday at 5:49 a.m.
The decedent was driving a Honda Civic eastbound in the westbound lanes of the 10 Freeway. He was the wrong-way driver who caused serious injuries to three other people, aside from getting himself killed.

One person died was fatally injured Sunday morning in a multi-vehicle collision on the Santa Monica (10) Freeway near downtown L.A. triggered by a wrong-way driver.
California Highway Patrol said the incident happened at around 5:25 a.m. on the westbound freeway, just east of Central Avenue.
The Honda with only the driver on board crashed head-on into a Toyota Sienna with three people inside.
