RIP ANDRES QUINTANAR (November 6, 1985 – March 5, 2023)
The decedent was killed, along with another person, in a wrong-way crash on the Ronald Reagan (118) Freeway in Porter Ranch.
The crash on the westbound freeway, at the Tampa Avenue off-ramp, was reported at 4:25 a.m. Sunday.
A dark-colored sedan was driving eastbound in the westbound lanes and slammed into a semi-truck. The vehicle landed on the embankment of the off-ramp.
The other person killed was Gerardo Parra, 49 years of age. They were both passengers in the wrong-way vehicle whose driver survived and was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. The speculation is that the driver was DUI. The box truck’s driver sustained only minor injuries.
