Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 76-year-old White/Caucasian female that occurred in a vehicle.

The coroner’s office has identified the woman as Anait Babakhanyan.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Multiple Blunt-Force Injuries

Medical Emergency Possible Cause of Fatal Crash Involving Multiple Vehicles in Sunland

Authorities have preliminarily determined that a medical emergency was the probable cause of a multi-vehicle fatality traffic collision in Sunland late Tuesday afternoon.

A traffic collision involving several vehicles was reported in the 8200 block of West Foothill Boulevard shortly after 4:30 p.m.

Los Angeles Fire Department personnel arrived at the scene and found a total of three people injured in the crash, with one fatality: a 60-year-old man was reported to be in serious condition and was transported to a local trauma center; a 35-year-old woman in fair condition with minor injuries was transported to a local hospital; and one 60-year-old woman was extricated from a vehicle by firefighters and was already lifeless.
