(L.A.) Amy Foster, 49, Died at a Residence

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 49-year-old White/Caucasian female that occurred at her residence.

The coroner’s office has identified the woman as Amy Foster.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Effects of Diphenhydramine

Other Significant Condition: Pulmonary Sarcoidosis

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Friday.

Diphenhydramine is an antihistamine commonly known as Benadryl.

Pulmonary sarcoidosis is a chronic inflammatory lung disease that causes reduced lung capacity. Although it did not directly cause the decedent’s death, it may have weakened their overall health or reduced their ability to survive the diphenhydramine overdose.
