(L.A.) Amelia Salehpour, 18, Died from Drugs

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of an 18-year-old female that occurred at a private residence.

The coroner’s office identified the young woman as Amelia Salehpour and listed her race/ethnicity as White/Caucasian.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Heroin, Fentanyl, Cocaine, Methamphetamine Effects

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Wednesday at 4:30 p.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on October 10, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back positive from the lab. This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, polydrug overdose.

The decedent’s surname is Iranian / Persian.

* In the medical examiner’s parlance, “private residence” indicates it was not the decedent’s own home.
