Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 22-year-old female that occurred at a shoreline.

The coroner’s office identified the young woman as Alyssa Kayla Marquez.

Manner of Death: Suicide

RIP ALYSSA KAYLA MARQUEZ (December 2, 2002 – November 18, 2025)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Tuesday.

The government investigator had initially given the decedent’s race/ethnicity as Black, later changing it to Asian. She was in fact of Filipino descent.
