(L.A.) Aloma Campana-Freire, 49, Died in a Vehicle

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 49-year-old Hispanic female that occurred in a vehicle.

The coroner’s office has identified the woman as Aloma Campana-Freire.

Manner of Death: Natural

Cause of Death A: Sequelae of Inanition

Cause of Death B: Severe Protein Malnutrition

Cause of Death C: History of Eating Disorder

Other Significant Condition: Hypothyroidism

RIP ALOMA CAMPANA-FREIRE (July 5, 1967 – November 5, 2016)

The decedent called herself Aloma Shamanatrix. Originally from Montevideo, Uruguay, she moved to Mexico City in 1978. Inanition is the medical term for starvation. She was mostly a fruitarian for the last years of her life. “Fruit is the only food that doesn’t cause a lifeform to die.” She and her husband were featured in a National Geographic show.
