(L.A.) Alexander Lubchuk, 80, Died in Torrance

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of an 80-year-old Caucasian male that occurred in a sober living facility.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Alexander Lubchuk.

Manner of Death: Natural

Cause of Death: Arteriosclerotic Cardiovascular Disease

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Wednesday at 7:00 a.m.

This may be the oldest person we have had die in a sober living facility.

Out of over 160,000 death records made public by the county’s medical examiner, at least 270 have mentioned a sober living facility. The earliest was in the year 2019 when over a dozen cases mentioned it as the place of death.
