(L.A.) Salvador Gonzalez Arechiga, 60, Died in a Hospital

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 60-year-old Hispanic male that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Salvador Gonzalez Arechiga.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Blunt-Force Injuries

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Thursday at 7:25 a.m.

The decedent was riding his bicycle in Historic South-Centeral L.A. when at around 3:35 a.m., he was rear-ended by a dark-colored 2007-2010 Chevrolet Tahoe that was traveling eastbound on Adams Boulevard from Trinity Street. He was thrown off his bike.

The driver of the SUV continued eastbound on Adams Boulevard at a high rate of speed, failing to stop to render aid.
