Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 46-year-old Caucasian male that occurred at a residence.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Richard Landa.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Acute Alcohol Intoxication

Other Significant Conditions: Cirrhosis of the Liver, Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Monday at 12:55 p.m.

This was a case of acute alcohol poisoning. The decedent drank too much over a short period of time.

Alcohol deaths can be classified as accidents under the assumption that the sots didn’t intend to kill themselves.
