(L.A.) Garrett Kobler, 22, Died in an Alley

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 22-year-old Caucasian male that occurred in an alley.

The coroner’s office identified the young man as Garrett Kobler.

Manner of Death: Homicide

Cause of Death: Multiple Blunt-Force Injuries

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Thursday at 5:56 p.m.

The decedent is believed to have been assaulted and sufferred from blunt-force trauma to his upper torso.

Deputies from the East Los Angeles Sheriff’s Station responded to the 6400 block of Flotilla Street, two blocks west of Garfield Avenue, where they found a man who was not breathing. He was pronounced dead at the scene by Los Angeles County Fire Department paramedics.

The assault occurred at approximately 5:45 p.m.
