(L.A.) Michael Rodriguez, 44, Died in an Emergency Room

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 44-year-old Latino male that occurred in an emergency room.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Michael Rodriguez.

Manner of Death: Homicide

Cause of Death: Gunshot Wound of Chest

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Saturday.

The decedent was shot by Santa Monica PD in the 1400 block of Palisades Park at around 12:49 p.m.

SMPD claim it was because he charged at officers with a knife.

Note that there are multiple decedents named “Michael Rodriguez” in public records.
