(L.A.) John Koffel, 47, Died in a Hospital

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 47-year-old Caucasian male that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as John Koffel.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Effects of Methamphetamine

RIP JOHN KOFFEL (March 31, 1975 – February 08, 2023)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Wednesday at 5:00 p.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on July 15, presumably after the results of tox screening came back.

This was ruled an accidental drug overdse.
