Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 53-year-old Black male that occurred on a freeway.
The coroner’s office has identified the man as Richard Barnwell, resident of Bunker Hill Tower in downtown L.A. 90012.

Santa Monica (10) Freeway to Harbor (110) Freeway transition overpass
The decedent was speeding on his 2019 Harley‑Davidson traveling east on the 10 Freeway on the interchange to the north 110 Freewa when the motorcycle hit the wall / concrete barrier and flew off the freeway landing onto Venice Boulevard below.

Motorcyclist Dies After Crashing & Flying Off Freeway Overpass
The decedent was Rich Barnwell who was drafted by the New York Yankees in the 17th round of the 1989 MLB June Amateur Draft from Pepperdine University (Malibu, CA).
He would eventually graduate from California State University Long Beach Whittier College School of Law, in 2002, and was employed by The Cochran Firm.
