Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 45-year-old White/Caucasian male that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Nathan Staley.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death A: Hypoxic-Ischemic Encephalopathy (Anoxic Brain Injury)

Cause of Death B: Acute Fentanyl and Methamphetamine Intoxication

Other Significant Condition: Obesity

RIP NATHAN ELLIOT STALEY (December 13, 1980 – July 14, 2026)

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
