Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 69-year-old Caucasian male that occurred in a vehicle.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Virgil Beck Jr.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Effects of Fentanyl and Ethanol

RIP VIRGIL CHARLES BECK JR. (August 10, 1953 – February 27, 2023)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Monday at 4:40 a.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published around August 1, presumably after the results of tox screening came back positive. This was an accidental overdose.
