(L.A.) Joseph Cobbs, 43, Died in a Hospital

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 43-year-old Black male that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Joseph Cobbs of Palmdale.

STATUS: The decedent’s body is ready to be released. Ruling by the deputy medical examiner is deferred pending additional investigation.

Manner and cause of death will be added to this page when it becomes available.

If the DME has ordered toxicological screening, the next public update may take three to five months.

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Wednesday.

The decedent had been arrested for murder back in June 2022.

Note that there are multiple decedents named “Joseph Cobbs” in public records.
