(L.A.) Lee Neilson, 42, Died on a Shoreline

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 42-year-old White/Caucasian male that occurred on the Alamitos Beach shoreline.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Lee Neilson.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Drowning

Other Significant Condition: Methamphetamine Toxicity

RIP LEE NEILSON (October 6, 1983 – April 14, 2026)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Tuesday.

Long Beach Police Department initially responded to reports of a body in the water around 11:30 a.m. in the 1900 block of East Ocean Boulevard. Authorities found the decedent face down near the water’s edge, close to the Pride lifeguard tower.
