(L.A.) Viken Isbirian, 67, Died on a Mountain Trail

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 67-year-old male on a mountain trail.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Viken Isbirian and listed his race/ethnicity as Middle Eastern or North African [sic].

Manner of Death: Natural

Cause of Death: Atherosclerotic Cardiovascular Disease

RIP VIKEN ISBIRIAN (January 16, 1959 – February 22, 2026)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Sunday afternoon.

The decedent was an experienced mountain hiker, but suffered heart failure near the end of a hike. He was of the Armenian diaspora in Lebanon.

We do not know if he was injected with synthetic mRNA.

Waterman Mountain is a prominent peak in the San Gabriel Mountains of Los Angeles County, within the Angeles National Forest.
