Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 41-year-old White/Caucasian male.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Edwin Petrossi.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death A: Anoxic Encephalopathy

Cause of Death B: Cardiopulmonary Arrest Status Post Resuscitation

Cause of Death C: Drowning

RIP EDWIN PETROSSI (November 8, 1984 – February 3, 2026)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Tuesday at a hospital.

The decedent was a United States Air Force Veteran suffering from PTSD.

According to a lawsuit filed by his wife, the incident happened in the swimming pool of a 48-unit apartment complex owned by Skyview Apartments LLC.
