(L.A.) Edwin Salamanca, 44, Died on a Sidewalk

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 44-year-old Latino male that occurred on the sidewalk of a business.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Edwin Salamanca.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Acute Ethanol Intoxication

Other Significant Conditions: Chronic Alcohol Abuse, Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Sunday.

This was a case of acute alcohol poisoning. The decedent drank too much over a short period of time.
