Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 45-year-old White/Caucasian male that occurred at a grocery store.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Oren Atias.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Acute Intoxication by the Combined Effects of Methamphetamine and Fentanyl

RIP OREN MARK ATIAS (July 10, 1980 – December 4, 2025)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Thursday.

The decedent was a graduate of Whittier College School of Law and passed the California state bar in 2009. After two years or so, he was suspended from the practice of law due to a felony conviction in Orange County. The conviction appeared to have something to do with a DUI hit-and-run.
