Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 42-year-old Latino male that occurred on a street.
The coroner’s office identified the man as Mario Munoz Vargas.

Blunt traumatic asphyxia is a rare but serious condition resulting from severe blunt-force chest trauma that disrupts normal blood flow and oxygenation. It commonly results from severe chest trauma such as in motor vehicle accidents or crushing injuries.
A famous example of blunt traumatic asphyxia is the accidental death of actor Anton Yelchin in a vehicle incident.
