(L.A.) Otoniel Rojas Torres, 86, Died From Old Age

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of an 86-year-old Latino male that occurred in a vehicle.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Otoniel Rojas Torres.

Manner of Death: Natural

Cause of Death A: Acute Cardiac Dysfunction

Cause of Death B: Hypertensive Cardiovascular Disease

Other Significant Condition: Atherosclerotic Heart Disease

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Tuesday.

Police said there was a two-vehicle collision in Irwindale at around 7:13 a.m.

The incident happened near lower Azusa Road by the 605 freeway.

A red Lexus, apparently driven by an elderly man, was heading east when it collided with a westbound Toyota Tacoma in a sideswipe crash. The senior was found lifeless, while the other driver survived unscathed.
