(L.A.) David Smith, 51, Died on the 134 Fwy

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 51-year-old White/Caucasian male that occurred on the 134 Freeway.

The coroner’s office identified the man as David Smith.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Multiple Blunt-Force Traumatic Injuries

Incident Location: State Route 134 West / Cahuenga Blvd

California Highway Patrol received a call at 12:11 a.m. about a vehicle on its side. Later calls described a collision between a gray truck and a white SUV, which had overturned onto its roof.

The multi-vehicle traffic crash happened on the westbound 134 Freeway in Burbank, near Hollywood Way and Buena Vista. It led to a full freeway closure and a SigAlert that lasted until 4:18 a.m.

CHP requested a DUI/alcoholl testing kit during its investigation.

Note that there are multiple decedents named “David Smith” in public records.
