(L.A.) Freddy Gutierrez, 26, Died in Lawndale

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 26-year-old Latino male that occurred on a street.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Freddy Gutierrez.

Manner of Death: Homicide

Cause of Death: Multiple Gunshot Wounds

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Sunday.

The shooting appears to have happened late Saturday night on September 13, at around 11:25 p.m. The investigator from the Department of Medical Examiner arrived on scene after midnight.

The address is associated with the Larch Townhomes apartment community.

Preliminary findings indicate that two suspects shot at the victim, who was in a vehicle. After being shot, the victim crashed his car into the front yard of a nearby house. The suspects fled on foot and remain at large.
