(L.A.) Cynthia Apodaca, 34, Died in a Hospital

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 34-year-old Hispanic female that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office identified the woman as Cynthia Apodaca.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Acute Upper Gastrointestinal Bleed, Source Not Identified

Other Significant Condition: Acute and Chronic Ethanol Abuse

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Monday.

This was a case of acute alcohol poisoning. The decedent was an alcoholic who on that day in particular drank too much over a short period of time.

Alcohol deaths can be classified as accidents under the assumption that the sots didn’t intend to kill themselves.
