(L.A.) Jose Cruz, 39, Died in Long Beach

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 39-year-old Latino male that occurred in a park.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Jose Cruz.

Manner of Death: Natural

Cause of Death A: Acute Cardiac Dysfunction

Cause of Death B: Hypertrophic Heart Disease

Other Significant Condition: Chronic Alcohol Cirrhosis

RIP JOSE MIGUEL CRUZ (September 4, 1985 – August 19, 2025)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Tuesday at 7:02 p.m.

The decedent was found at Veterans Park Community Center, whose address is 101 East 28th Street, Long Beach, CA 90806.

The Department of Medical Examiner publicly disclosed the CoD ruling on September 29.
