(L.A.) Jesus Machuca, 44, Died in a Hospital

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 44-year-old Latino male that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Jesus Machuca. Born in L.A. County.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Acute Intoxication by the Combined Effects of Fentanyl and Methamphetamine

RIP JESUS CHRISTOPHER MACHUCA (December 12, 1980 – August 13, 2025)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Wednesday.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on September 28, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
