Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 14-year-old Asian male that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Arjit Chettupalli of Northdridge.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Blunt Force Traumatic Injuries

RIP ARJIT CHETTUPALLI (December 13, 2007 – December 19, 2021)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Sunday at 2:51 a.m.

Along with his sister, the decedent was a victim of a 20-year-old drunk driver. The incident happened on December 18 by the intersection of Lassen Street and Oakdale Avenue in Chatsworth 91311.

* The coroner’s office identified his ethnicity as “Asian” while the sister was identified as “Middle Eastern.” They appear to be Telugu descent, their family being from India.
