(L.A.) Daniel Gutierrez, 41, Died in a Hospital

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 41-year-old Latino male that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Daniel Gutierrez.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Effects of Methamphetamine

Other Significant Conditions: Asthma, Hypertension, Congestive Heart Failure

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Monday.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on August 29, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab. This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
