(L.A.) Edgar Cumplido, 32, Died in a Hospital

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 32-year-old Latino male that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Edgar Cumplido.

Born in L.A. County. Mother’s maiden name is Chavez.

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Tuesday.

The decedent was fatally hit at around 10:10 p.m. by a black Tesla Model X that was speeding.

LAPD said the Tesla was heading east on 67th Street from Flower Street. Both the vehicle and the cyclist were traveling in the same direction.

The Tesla’s driver did not stop and continued east towards Broadway without rendering aid, making this a hit-and-run crime.
