(L.A.) Brandon Bancroft, 39, Died at a Residence

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 39-year-old White/Caucasian male that occurred at his residence.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Brandon Bancroft.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death A: Acute Fentanyl Toxicity

Cause of Death B: Cardiorespiratory Depression

Other Significant Conditions: History of Polysubstance Abuse (Fentanyl and Heroin)

RIP BRANDON BANCROFT (February 21, 1985 – May 20, 2025)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Tuesday.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on July 13, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab. This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
