(L.A.) Javier Gutierrez, 23, Died in Sun Valley

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 23-year-old Latino male that occurred on a street.

The coroner’s office identified the young man as Javier Gutierrez.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Blunt Trauma

RIP JAVIER GUTIERREZ (August 6, 2001 – March 18, 2025)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Tuesday at 7:10 p.m.

The decedent was fatally injured in a collision with another vehicle in Sun Valley.

The crash was reported at 6:55 p.m. in the 6700 block of Lankershim Boulevard, north of the Golden State (5) Freeway.

LAPD officers were called to the scene, where they learned the victim was traveling north on Lankershim Boulevard when he hit a vehicle driven by a 36-year-old driver traveling south on Lankershim Boulevard.
