Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 52-year-old Hispanic female that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office has identified the woman as Ruth Ramos.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Amphetamine Effects

Other Significant Condition: Atherosclerotic Cardiovascular Disease

RIP RUTH RAMOS (February 24, 1972 – December 11, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on January 6.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
