Having a congenital heart defect can affect an individual’s mental and psychological health. Severe congenital heart defects affect oxygen delivery to the brain during development, which may lead to subtle cognitive impairments, such as difficulties with attention, memory, or executive functioning.

Many coronary vessel malformations can remain asymptomatic for years or even decades, allowing individuals to live without knowing they have a heart defect.

The combination of an undetected heart condition and its effects on cognitive function can have profound implications for an individual’s life trajectory, potentially influencing their actions and mental state in ways that may not be immediately apparent.

Note that there are multiple decedents named “Daniel Ramirez” in public records.
