Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 56-year-old Black male that occurred on a sidewalk in the unincorporated community of West Rancho Dominguez (West Compton).

The coroner’s office identified the man as Eddie Irby III.

Cause of Death: Blunt-Force Injuries

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Friday at 12:03 a.m.

The decedent was fatally injured when his car crashed into parked vehicles in the area of 154th Street and Tarrant Avenue.
