(L.A.) Jason Lopez, 35, Died From Substance Abuse

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 35-year-old Latino male that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Jason Lopez.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Effects of Methamphetamine

Other Significant Condition: History of Chronic Alcohol Use

RIP JASON LOPEZ (April 15, 1989 – August 13, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Tuesday at 5:58 p.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on December 18, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
