(L.A.) Martha Saenz, 51, Ended Her Life

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 51-year-old Hispanic female that occurred at her residence.

The coroner’s office has identified the woman as Martha Saenz.

Manner of Death: Suicide

Cause of Death: Effects of Pregabalin and Hydrocodone

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Thursday at 3:58 p.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on February 13, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab.

Pregabalin, sold under the brand name Lyrica among others, is an anticonvulsant, analgesic, and anxiolytic amino acid medication used to treat epilepsy, neuropathic pain, fibromyalgia, restless legs syndrome, opioid withdrawal, and generalized anxiety disorder.
