(L.A.) Wayne Hasch, 73, Died From a Stroke

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 73-year-old White/Caucasian male that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Wayne Hasch.

Manner of Death: Natural

Cause of Death A: Hemorrhagic Conversion of Ischemic Stroke

Cause of Death B: Cerebrovascular Accident

Cause of Death C: Poorly Controlled Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus

RIP WAYNE HASCH (December 30, 1950 – August 15, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Thursday at 12:58 p.m.

Ruling by the Department of Medical Examiner was published on October 6 though it appears it may have been a private doctor who made the call on the causes of death.

There has been only one DME who’s ever used the phrase “poorly controlled” instead of “decompensated” to describe diabetes in a COD, and that forensic pathologist left the department in 2022.
