(L.A.) Kenneth Leavy, 68, Died in a Hospital

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 68-year-old Black male that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Kenneth Leavy.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Hypertensive Cardiovascular Disease

Other Significant Conditions: Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease, Diabetes, Effects of Cocaine

RIP KENNETH LEAVY (November 29, 1955 – August 12, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Monday at 3:30 a.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on November 7, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
