(L.A.) Shayla Paster, 46, Died From a Meth OD

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 46-year-old Black female that occurred in a vehicle.

The coroner’s office has identified the woman as Shayla Paster.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Methamphetamine Intoxication

RIP SHAYLA PASTER (September 13, 1978 – September 13, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Friday at 6:05 a.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on December 27, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, overdose.
