(L.A.) Denise Benson, 40, Died in a Tent

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 40-year-old White/Caucasian female that occurred in a tent.

The coroner’s office has identified the woman as Denise Benson.

Height: 5 feet 3 inches / Weight: 125 pounds

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Effects of Fentanyl and Methamphetamine

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Friday at 6:52 p.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on December 27, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab.

The decedent had a rap sheet that included a July 2024 arrest in Ventura County for disorderly conduct. She also had multiple arrests for possession of controlled substances.
