(L.A.) Doyle Covington, 64, Died in Transitional Housing

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 64-year-old Black male that occurred in transitional housing.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Doyle Covington.

Manner of Death: Natural

Cause of Death A: Ischemic Heart Disease

Cause of Death B: Atherosclerotic Coronary Artery Disease

Other Significant Conditions: Medical History of Polysubstance Abuse, Alcoholism, Dementia, Schizophrenia, Cerebrovascular Accident, Hyperlipidemia, Major Depressive Disorder, Subdural Hemorrhage, Myocardial Infarction, Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy, and Hypertension

RIP DOYLE COVINGTON (November 15, 1959 – September 14, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Saturday at 3:47 p.m.

The Department of Medical Examiner publicly disclosed the CoD ruling on October 10.
