(L.A.) Marcella Magallanes, 45, Died From a Fentanyl OD

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 45-year-old Hispanic female that occurred at her residence.

The coroner’s office identified the woman as Marcella Magallanes.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Fentanyl Intoxication

Other Significant Condition: Alcohol Effects

RIP MARCELLA MAGALLANES (March 27, 1979 – August 30, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Friday at 8:41 p.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on January 6, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
