(L.A.) Jesus Galaviz Amarillas, 48, Died at a Construction Site

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 48-year-old Latino male that occurred at a construction site.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Jesus Galaviz Amarillas.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Cocaine Toxicity

Other Significant Condition: Diabetes Mellitus

RIP JESUS GALAVIZ AMARILLAS (December 31, 1975 – August 30, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Friday at 9:20 a.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on September 29, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back positive for the drug.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, overdose.
