Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 47-year-old male that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Rudy Fanene.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Effects of Methamphetamine

Other Significant Conditions: Diabetes Mellitus and Hypertensive Cardiovascular Disease

RIP RUDY FANENE (June 1, 1977 – August 19, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Monday at 7:29 p.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published in mid-December.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
